LT4eL (Language Technology for eLearning) is an EU-funded FP6 project aimed at improving access to learning materials by using language technology and semantic knowledge. The University of Malta, through the Department of Artificial Intelligence, is a one of twelve European partners and is responsible for materials in English and in Maltese.
The seminar will be held on the afternoon of 12th October to demonstrate the milestones achieved within the project, and to discuss the experience gained. It is primarily a dissemination event aimed at those with an interest in the theme. Specialist knowledge is not required. Students and professionals in computer science, education, and language are particularly welcome. The programme will also include the presentation of local projects, and thus foster possible future collaboration.
The seminar will be held at the University of Malta, Gateway Building, Hall E, between 2pm and 5pm, on Friday 12th October.
Participation is free but those interested in attending or requiring further information are kindly asked to contact Claudia Borg.
